Job Summary - Odoo Accountant and HR Administrator

We are looking for a professional with expertise in both accounting and human resources administration, specifically experienced with the Odoo ERP platform. This dual role involves managing financial records, payroll, and employee records within Odoo's integrated applications.

The ideal candidate will efficiently streamline accounting and HR processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial and personnel matters

The Odoo Accountant and HR Administrator role is central to the efficient operation of our company's financial and human resource activities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple functions effectively within the Odoo ERP environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Functions

    • Implement, manage, and maintain accounting operations within the Odoo ERP system, aligning with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Prepare financial statements and reports, analyze financial data, and assist with budget preparation
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Enhance and enforce internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.

    HR Administration Functions

      • Oversee HR modules within Odoo, ensuring efficient management of employee records, benefits, and compliance with HR policies
      • Administer payroll through Odoo, including updates to employee files, tracking of hours, processing of time-off requests, and benefits administration.
      • Coordinate recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes within Odoo's integrated HR applications.
      • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
      • Generate and submit HR reports, such as attendance, turnover, and training requirements
      • Address employee queries about HR-related issues and assist in conflict resolution.


      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
      • Proven experience as an accountant with additional HR responsibilities.
      • Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
      • Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP's accounting and HR modules.
      • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
      • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
      • In-depth understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.

      Preferred Skills

      • CPA or similar certification is advantageous
      • Proficiency in payroll software and HR systems..
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


      Certifications

      Certification in Odoo or other ERP systems is highly advantageous.

      Experience

      A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a role that included HR responsibilities..
